I am a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
As a Partner at Shajani CPA since 2005, I strive to foster a client-focused approach to Public Accounting. This means identifying our clients’ requirements, understanding their needs & expectations and delivering on those with consistent follow-up, monitoring and updating advice based on their changing situations. During my time at Shajani CPA, I have developed a focus in acting for small and medium-sized, locally based corporations and owner-managed businesses as well as clients with tax and wealth planning requirements.
My background includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a major in Economics at the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Honours Business Administration) with a major in Accounting at the University of Windsor. I was fortunate to complete the academic and professional experience requirements for the CGA designation (Public Practice Focus) while working as a Tax Accountant at a Canadian Oil & Gas Company with a U.S. parent. This opportunity provided me with substantial experience in Canadian Oil & Gas taxation and an understanding of the importance of advantageous business structuring. I’ve also completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course. Along with my colleagues, I share a passion for the accounting profession and aim to keep my knowledge up-to-date through consistent and relevant professional development.
I’m privileged to have a loving wife Roseline, and two beautiful daughters, Mysha and Arissa, who provide me with balance and happiness.
